Sweet guitar!! Seems like a good combo (myrtle or Mahogany) especially the Myrtle. I think I will have to try that. |

![]() Your webpage of the Port Orford topped guitar has the above image which shows some strings attached to the bridge. Am I seeing things, it appears these strings are installed backwards? With the unwound portions retained at the pins? Just awfully curious what is going on with this pic. Thanks. |

It's old technology, in a new venue. Piano strings have always been made this way, with the wrap wire stopping short, allowing the core to make full contact to the harp. They worked well, I just don't care for overly bright strings, since my guitars are already loud and bright. In fact, on my personal guitars, if I'm not running Elixir Nanowebs, I have nickel wound strings on them(D'Addario J-22 to be specific). If you have a guitar that you wish were brighter, give the contact core GHS a try. |

I got a few POC tops.. I look forward to using them someday! They are nice and stiff, and look lovely. |
